This one is an original recipe of mine. The Blueberry is not a must for this dessert, you can replace it with any other seasonal fruit or even dried fruits. The unique thing about this recipe is that you need to grind the Sabudana to a fine powder and not use is in its whole form.
This is a favourite of mine. It’s light and healthy with much less butter compared traditional cake recipes. The yoghurt fills in for the butter perfectly and gives the cake a smooth texture and a tangy flavour. I am fond of both Blueberry and Peach and they combine to tango perfectly in this recipe.
This is an adapted recipe which I stumbled upon in a local food blog. The first thing that drew my attention was the designer look of the dessert more than the recipe. The name as you can imagine is Italian and translates as “cooked cream”, although one does not have to do much cooking. After having this dessert, my son very appropriately complimented with “It is rare to have a dessert which looks great and tastes even better.”
This is truly a Bengali specialty. I grew up with “Mishti Doi” in Kolkata. All meals worth their salt ended with the “Mishti Doi”.
A tried and tested recipe enjoyed by all my friends and family, you can’t go wrong with the Mango Mousse Cake. This is a popular choice for young and old.
