Pizza Pav

It’s easy to whip up and also most ingredients are typically available at home most of the time. The kids will love it for sure. For all the mothers, this is your smart way of getting your kids to eat some veggies. One tip on the recipe. It’s a good idea to keep the Pav buns in the refrigerator for a day before using it for the Pizza Pav. This helps the bread harden a bit, so when you cut, it doesn’t disintegrate. East Meets West



Ingredients for the Stuffing :

  • ½ cup finely chopped Onions
  • ½ cup grated Paneer
  • ¼ cups sweet corn kernels, fresh or frozen
  • ½ cup finely chopped capsicum
  • ½ cup grated Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 Tbsp of Pizza Sauce
  • Salt, according to taste
  • 6 Pav Buns


Ingredients for the Garlic Butter :

  • 56 Cloves Garlic
  • 12 Tsp Chilli Flakes
  • ½ Tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 23 Tbsp chopped Coriander Leaves
  • ¼ cup melted butter


  1. Take pav bun one at a time. With the help of a knife, make two insertion vertically half way down. Do Not cut more than half the way. Now repeat similar two cuts horizontally. Care must be taken Not to cut half way below the pav. Please Refer To The Picture Attached Just Above This Recipe. Now keep aside the pav to make the stuffing and the Garlic Butter.
  2. Take a bowl, mix all the ingredients for the stuffing and mix them together. Keep it ready.
  3. To make the Garlic butter, crush the garlic cloves along with the chilli flakes, Italian seasoning and coriander leaves with the help of a mortar and pestle. You can use a grinder to Coarse grind it if you don’t have access to a mortar and pestle. Now add them to the melted butter and mix well.
  4. Using your left hand, make space in the inserted cuts of the pav buns to add the stuffing in between the cuts. Stuff one pav after the other, till all are done.
  5. Set them in a baking tray, brush the garlic butter from the top. Bake them in a pre-heated oven of 350°F or 180°C for 5 to 7 mins till the cheese melts and the pav feels crispy to the touch. Serve hot.
